Samsung Galaxy S3 with flexible display spotted? Or Just A Prototype

What you see above has been speculated by some to be the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S3 smartphone which will be announced Very Near/or after the Iphone 5 Launch (Which makes sense)
although the form factor looks really weird. A foldable display does seem most likely in the model above, and if that were to be true, such a prototype would certainly set tongues wagging. After all, no phones to date have a flexible display, and this would definitely send plenty of attention Samsung’s way when released. The South Korean consumer electronics giant is known for changing their designs at the last minute, as evident by the Galaxy Tab 10.1 that was sent back to the drawing board in order to beat out the iPad 2 as the thinnest tablet in the market.
Perhaps there are a few Galaxy S3 prototypes going around, and the folks at Samsung are finding it hard to pick one that will be sent to production lines. Could A 12 Month Lease On Your Next Android Phone Make Contracts More Appealing?

Smartphones change too often for most of us to keep up with. We could have the best phone available now, but come next month and another “super phone” will appear that will make ours look like old news, and with contracts generally lasting for two-years, chances are we end up stuck with our devices for a good two years while others get their hands on the latest ones. It is a vicious cycle and one that TMNG Global is looking to put an end to with the concept of smartphone leasing in the US.
The idea is not a new one and has seen deployment in the UK via the O2 carrier, which offers iPhone leasing at $86 a month for a one year period. This is what TMNG Global is hoping to bring to the US, which is to offer smartphones for lease on a one year basis with no downpayment and customers would just end up being charged on a monthly basis. This will allow customers to stay up to date with the latest phones which usually see refreshes on a yearly basis, and at the same time does not tie them down to any contract.
MDLx (Mobile Device Lease xChange), a subsidiary of TMNG Global will be the ones handling the paperwork and are said to be in talks with several tier one carriers, but unfortunately the major carriers have yet to pick up on the idea. Hopefully if the scheme is successful, perhaps we can start seeing mobile phone users stay up to date with technology without having to skip a generation of phones due to contract restrictions. Apple to unveil `iPhone 5` at WWDC in June

Apple is expected to unveil its iPhone 5 smartphone at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) to be held in June 2012, the Chinese-language Commercial Times quoted Daiwa Securities as indicating.

The iPhone 5 will continue to utilize glass to glass (G/G) touch panel technology which will benefit current touch panel suppliers TPK Holding and Wintek, the paper quoted the securities house as saying.

Rumor: Samsung to release two Android 4.0 tablets, codenamed P3100 and P5100

After a pretty slim tablet showing at the CES 2012, the MWC in Barcelona is expected to hit us with a bunch of new slates from some of the most important manufacturers in the world. Probably the most important of them all, Samsung, might come with two different tablet PCs at the 2012 MWC, if we are to believe the latest rumors, with both gadgets set to run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
According to a leak picked up by Ameblo.jp, the two tablets are codenamed GT-P3100 and GT-P5100 and have just been Wi-Fi certified. The documents seem legit at a first sight, especially if we are to think about the past codenames used by Samsung.
For instance, the Galaxy Tab 7 Plus, released last fall, was first known as the GT-P6200, where GT stood up for Galaxy Tab, of course, and P identified the device’s category (tablet).

Of course, the rumor mill will start working at full power now, with all speculations pointing towards the release of two very different products. On one hand, there will most likely be a tablet with a 2560 x 1600 pixels Retina Display and a 2 GHz quad-core processor, while on the other hand Samsung might come with its own competitor for the Amazon Kindle Fire.
This suspected Fire competitor could come with medium-end tech specs, including a 1024 x 600 pixels resolution display, and will most definitely be made available to the wide public for a price tag of no more than 300 bucks.

Vizio's 58-inch 21:9 CinemaWide TV coming in March

Although Vizio announced its new 58-inch CinemaWide HDTV at CES last month it held back on pricing and a few key specs. The company filled in the rest of the blanks today, letting us know that the set will cost $3,499 when it arrives in March.
The ultra wide display features a 21:9 aspect ratio, allowing viewers to watch widescreen movies full-screen without those ever-present black bars, while "regular" 16:9 widescreen content can either be upscaled to fit the wider screen, or the extra space can be used to show Facebook, Twitter, or other widgets available on Vizio's Internet Apps platform (made more useful by the bundled Bluetooth remote with keyboard). Other specs include 2560x1080 resolution, passive 3D (4 pairs of glasses included), a 120Hz refresh rate, and 5 HDMI ports. While the LED edge lit panel is slim at only 1.8 inches deep, you might want to double check that you have the nearly five feet of horizontal space you'll need in your living room to hoist the thing up on your wall. The press release says the set should be available for pre-order from Vizio's site, but so far Vizio.com is just offering to let you sign up for notifications.

Ipad 3 Spyshots Confirm QuadCore And LTE

We’re all hankering for Apple to announce its iPad 3, but some lucky so and sos already have their hands on the third-generation device. One of whom has revealed photographs of its internal specifications, which confirm it will feature a quad-core processor and global LTE capabilities.
The images were provided by a source for B.G.R, and were obtained from a development tool called iBoot, which provides lots of information about a device’s internal specifications. We can see these devices have the model numbers J1 and J2 (iPad 3,1 and iPad 3,2), but they’re two different devices. One of them is a Wi-Fi-only model, while the other boasts Wi-Fi and GSM/CDMA/LTE connectivity options, compatible with all carriers the world over.
Both devices boast a quad-core A6 processor, according to the images, with the model number S5L8945X. For reference, Apple’s existing A4 and A5 processors sport the model numbers S5L8930X and S5L8940X respectively.
That A6 processor make this Apple’s fastest iOS device ever, according to BGR’s source. Though there’s no word on whether or not the device features that long-awaited Retina Display.

Samsung Galaxy Note S & Galaxy S2 Plus (More Galaxy Successors Leaked)

If you thought that we would have to wait until after the first batch of new Galaxy smartphones were announced at MWC 2012 before we see new ones get added to the list then you will be gladly mistaken. Samsung looks set to release many more Galaxy devices this year than we saw in 2011.

Samsung Galaxy Note S & Galaxy S2 Plus to join Galaxy S3 later this year

In addition to the Samsung Galaxy Tab 11.6 and Galaxy S3 which are rumored to debut at the Mobile World Congress event on February 27, a new leak courtesy of well-known tech site MobileCowboys suggests that the Galaxy S2 Plus and Galaxy Note S will be joining us by Q4 2012.
MC's source is an informant who managed to take a peek at a Samsung sales list. Now this informant has a proven track record hence why the March 13th Samsung Galaxy S3 release date that has been floating around the Web has gathered so much attention.
Now unfortunately not much else is known about the Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus and the Galaxy Note S other than their names. However we get the feeling that if the Galaxy S2 Plus releases after the Galaxy S3, there will no doubt be some form of confusion for buyers.
