Late last week, a report went out that claimed Nokia was a little
disappointed with the recent sales of Symbian-based handsets, and as a
result of this, would becutting short future plans for belle phones. Supposedly, the only additional Belle Model that would ever see the light of day would be the phone meant to act as
the successor to the popular N8. We wondered at the time ift hat might be the Nokia 803,which he had learned about thanks to a leak. Today the situation is
complicated a bit upon the arrival of an image claiming to represent
another forthcoming Nokia Belle model, the 801.
Everything about the image above looks like a quick-and-dirty
mock-up, using a pic of the body of a Lumia 800, and an old Belle
screenshot that's been floating around for months. That said, Eldar
Murtazin has weighed-in on this news of the Nokia 801, and claims that
the information is legit. Take what importance from that what you will,
knowing that Murtazin's a bit hit-and-miss with his predictions.
Whether or not that image is a serious depiction of the hardware,
the rumor also includes a lot of component specs for the supposed Nokia
801. While there's that nothing that directly ties it to being this N8
successor we've been hearing about, a twelve-megapixel camera with
auto-focus doesn't sound too shabby. The phone will reportedly feature a
1.4GHz processor and include a four-inch AMOLED ClearBlack display.
Look for the Nokia 801 to have NFC support and be equipped with 512MB of
RAM, assuming this rumor checks-out.
