Nvidia expected to benefit from new HTC strategy

As High Tech Computer (HTC) has adjusted its product strategy and is expected to increase it purchasing of Nvidia Tegra series processors, Nvidia is expected to see its quad-core Tegra 3 processor shipments increase obviously in the first half of 2012.
Currently, HTC still mainly adopts solutions from Qualcomm, but as the company is adjusting its strategy, while graphics output of smartphones is becoming important, HTC's increasing cooperation with Nvidia will allow Nvidia to gain the ability to compete against Qualcomm.
Facing strong competition from Samsung Electronics and Apple, HTC has released information of a new strategy and will no longer focus on its number of models and will establish a new department, HTC Studio, to manage product planning.
As for Tegra 3, in addition to the orders from LG for its Optimus X3, the processor has also received orders from Fujitsu for its Arrows tablet PC and HTC for its Edge.
